Nokian Tyres Hires Glenn Arbaugh to Lead North American Research and Development

DAYTON, Tenn. – Nokian Tyres today announced the appointment of Glenn Arbaugh as its head of research and development for North America, reinforcing the company’s commitment to accelerating innovation and delivering products tailored to the evolving needs of drivers across the United States and Canada.
Arbaugh assumes leadership of the region’s R&D function this month and will be based at Nokian Tyres’ advanced North American manufacturing facility and research center in Dayton, Tennessee.
With nearly 35 years of experience in the global tire industry, Arbaugh brings a distinguished background spanning technical center leadership, product development, engineering and design. In his new role, he will drive the development of next-generation tire solutions while advancing product quality and manufacturing excellence at the Dayton Factory.
The North American R&D organization works in close partnership with Nokian Tyres’ global research teams in Finland, combining regional insight with world-class engineering expertise. As the inventor of the winter tire, Nokian Tyres continues to offer a comprehensive portfolio of premium all-season, all-weather, and light truck tires throughout North America.
Since opening in 2019, the Dayton Factory has played a critical role in serving the North American market, with all production dedicated to customers in the United States and Canada. The facility has earned industry recognition for its culture and operational excellence, including being the first tire manufacturing facility globally to achieve LEED v4 Silver certification.
