LOCATION
The location of the Hakka Ring test center in Santa Cruz de la Zarza in Spain enables year-round testing of all-season (summer tires), all-weather tires and winter tires.
TRACKS
In the 740-acre (300-hectare) area there are several test tracks for dry and wet testing, as well as the high-speed oval enabling testing in the speed of up to 186 mph (300 km/h).
SUSTAINABILITY
We research new bio-based materials at the site to enable even more sustainable tire production in the future.
Demanding tire tests on wet and dry roads throughout the year
The crown jewel of the test center is the 4.3-mile (7-kilometer)-long high-speed oval track that enables testing at speeds up to or even exceeding 186 mph (300 km/h).
The Nokian Tyres Hakka Ring features 5 wide lanes, enabling demanding tire tests on wet and dry roads throughout the year. The test center was opened in 2021. We also conduct rigorous tests on high-speed rated tires at Hakka Ring.
The idea behind our tire testing is to simulate situations that drivers may encounter on the roads. The versatile tracks and modern equipment of the Spain test center enable us to test tires on wet and dry surfaces to make sure the tires work optimally in heavy rain or intense heat.
