The tire features On-Demand Grip provided by Double Action Stud Technology. As temperatures change, the studs adjust automatically between ON-mode and OFF, delivering maximum safety when it’s needed, and more controlled, gentler road contact when it’s not.

On-demand grip

DOUBLE ACTION STUD TECHNOLOGY

Studmode ON for ice grip. Studmode OFF for bare roads. When the tire warms up, the softened compound allows the stud to sink deeper into the tire improving grip on dry and wet roads. Conversely, when the tire cools down, the stud protrudes from the tread, improving grip on ice and snow.

DOUBLE STUD TECHNOLOGY

Two different studs: Center for straight, shoulder for curves. The center studs improve acceleration and braking grip, while the studs on the shoulder areas maximize grip during turning and lane changes. The new stud design improves ice grip by enabling better penetration to icy surfaces.

Controlled handling and stable performance

SNOW GROOVES AND 3D SIPES

Aggressive snow grooves on the shoulder areas provide strong grip when moving into deep snow. Self-locking 3D sipes support the tread blocks during road contact, enhancing stability in corners and during sudden maneuvers.
