Recently obtained a set of the Surpass AS01 tire and while I cannot yet speak to the durability, I can speak to my initial impressions. These are a nice looking tire and I like the tread pattern and overall look. Fitment is good and the grip, especially in dry conditions, is ample, but not over-the-top where they are too "sticky" for everyday road driving. For the current price-point you would be hard pressed to find a better tire that offers the same or better quality than the Surpass AS01. So far these are very impressive tires!

I put the Nokian Tyres Surpass AS01’s on my EV with the goal of putting a sportier tire on my car without degrading the noise, ride quality, and efficiency of my EV.

I’m happy to report that the Nokian Tyres Surpass has exceeded my expectations! I’m enjoying sportier steering response and ride quality in my car, but the daily livability is still great due to the quietness of these tires and still-comfortable response to bumps and potholes.

The grip has been great for me in both the dry and wet, and I have strong confidence in their ability to stand the test of time thanks to the long mileage warranty for this category of tire.

Looking forward to many more miles with the Surpass AS01’s!

They look great and I love the way they fit the rim. They are made large, so they exceed the rim a little bit to save your rims from curb rash.

The adherence on the asphalt is phenomenal, your car is glued on the road. They look very promising to last for a long time too. Very well done. I love from Nokian Tyres that there is an easy-to-read wear indicator on each tire, this is a great feature.

On the comfort side, I have to report that they are just a slight bit noisier than my previous set of tires. Still on the comfort topic, despite the faint hum from the thread noise, they are very enjoyable with the road manner, grippy but forgiving with the imperfections of the road, you don't feel all of them in your seat.

The only thing that I would improve is their response to the initial turning input. They are a slight delay before the car is turning and you can feel that the rear is slightly flexing. This is a minor issue that you can only feel when you are driving aggressively, on normal driving, they are just perfection.

They are reasonably priced, again an excellent product from Nokian.

I got these tires a month ago to replace the Nokian Tyres Z-line UHP all season tires that were on the car. The new version is definitely an improvement over the previous model in most notably the reduction in noise while keeping performance equal to or better than the Z-lines. Great tire made even better!

As it was a relatively unknown brand in the USA at the time, I decided to give it a try. I was driving a 2009 Honda Civic Si, and the performance for the price was unbelievable. In dry and wet conditions, the grip was confidence-inspiring, and in light snow, I was able to drive without worry. Now that I drive a Honda S2000, I was looking to replace a budget tire with a more premium UHP (Ultra High Performance) all-season tire. I considered brands like Michelin, Pirelli, and Continental. The Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3 seemed to be my next tire, as it performed well in tests from independent reviewers and Tire Rack. However, during my research, I discovered the Nokian Surpass AS01. Having had a good experience with the Nokian Zline, I decided to give it a try. I’ve driven on Michelin (PS4S, Crossclimate 2), Continental DWS06, Indy Firehawk 500, and most recently, RoadHugger GTZ. Living in Texas, where the weather can be unpredictable, I wanted an all-season tire that would provide good performance while still offering the longevity of an all-season tire compared to a pure summer tire.
