The test center is particularly advanced for versatile testing of tire wet grip due to a modern irrigation system.

Our test center in Nokia, Finland is located around the corner from Nokian Tyres' head office. At the Nokia test center, we simulate almost all driving situations on northern roads from April to November.

The testing center is constantly being developed to meet the challenges of difficult conditions, as well as the demands of the future. We test winter and all-season (summer) tires here. The track in Nokia was originally built in the 1960s and over time the test center has expanded to 74 acres (30 hectares) in size. One of the latest expansions was completed in 1999, and it brought variety in particular to high-speed tire testing.

The test center in Nokia is particularly advanced for the versatile testing of tire wet grip due to a modern irrigation system, which allows the amount of water to be regulated very precisely, thus also conserving water.

In addition, there are asphalt surfaces in different condition, which enables brake testing on asphalt that is no longer in top condition, among other tests. At this track, we also conduct tests related to the measurement of pass-by noise.
