We drive this tire cross continent a couple times every year. We've driven it through a snow squall in Michigan, an icy dirt road in Quebec, and southeastern rain and heat. It stands up to any challenge it faces. For someone who doesn't need a true winter tire, this is a big step up from all-season.

I have driven this tire for several years in high Rockies of Colorado. With Acura AWD they are exceptional. They handled deep snow and ice without skipping a beat. In summer they are great on curvy passes in rain or shine. Confidence and Performance, A great combination!

I bought a set of these for my 2012 BMW X5 and couldn’t be happier. They are great in the dry, in the rain, and in the snow, for a price that beat most other major brands of tire. They also look great with a distinctive tread pattern. My X5 handles great with these tires and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone with a SUV.

I have had these for 4 years now, only now with the latest snow storm were these fully tested. No issues, AWD with these guys in snow mode, and you are going places when others aren't. The Aramid fiber feature is great, too. Drove one totally flat to the tire store when they were new, bad seal, you would think it would totally kill that tire but nope, still going 4 years later with no issues. I am sure Nokian Tyres wouldn't recommend this, but I torture tested it... I was prepared to buy a brand new tire, too. Great tires, would for sure buy them again!

I live in Minnesota, so this is the REAL testing grounds. I’ve always used dedicated snows in the winter here but would only get two seasons max on my 2014 Cayenne Turbo. I decided to try the WR G4 SUV for the Nokian Tyres reputation, and the “all weather” claim and tread design that looks like a winter tire. Pretty phenomenal really. Great on the cold ice (-10 F) and confidence inspiring in snow. I'd say only slightly less ice traction on ice as dedicated snow! Quiet and comfortable, yet corner with confidence! 60k warranty. And, they are relatively cheap compared to dedicated snows from Michelin, etc.

Granted this is comparing a VW Tiguan with the Nokian Tyres WR G4 SUV vs. Highlander Hybrid with Michelin CrossClimate2. The WR G4 tackles all of the winter conditions with ease. The Michelin's are a plowed snow condition tire, and struggles with deep, wet snow, such as CA "Sierra Cement". But... on the WR G4 SUV, the Winter Safety Indicator (WSI) wears out around the 5mm mark, and then traction goes downhill pretty bad, since starting from a hill does challenge the tire on packed/plowed snow. Best tire ever for us, and for Snowbird, living in cold weather at the end of December and for the road conditions back in April. Fantastic road handling.

I expected more. Handling and traction is very good, but the noise level is significantly worse than expected. I drive 100 miles per day and the noise level is actually making me consider ditching these after 15k miles.

Mounted these to my 2020 Kia Telluride in Oct 2020. Dec '20 took a road trip from Toronto, Canada to Austin, Texas and back. On the return path from St. Louis, IL to Toronto, went through 2000Km (~1,240 miles) of snow storm. This was heavy snow where the road is not visible, or only-lane caravan on the highway. I was able to cut through the storm as if the Tellu was on winter tires! Must say, in the beginning was not sure how they would perform, but that trip boosted my confidence on the Nokian Tyres WR G4 SUVs. The ride is smooth, and much quieter than winter tires and many cheaper all-season tires. Braking & handling in snow, icy condition & rain is good. In wet or slushy snow conditions these tires do pretty good. I will not take same risks over snow as I took with my dedicated winter tires and these tires do not place/market themselves to that level because they are all-weathers.

Bought these for my Silverado (which is mostly a highway driver, not off-road) and I couldn’t be happier with them. Excellent performance in all conditions and more than capable of handling Michigan winters. Wouldn’t waste my money on anything else. I’ve had all seasons and they just aren’t even close to these. Buy a great all-weather tire like the WRG4s and save yourself time and money by not swapping your all season and winter tires each year.
