We've invested more than $500 million in our factory to serve customers across the United States and Canada. Production at the factory started in 2020, and a 600,000-tire warehouse opened at the site in 2024. By 2027, Dayton factory production will account for a quarter of Nokian Tyres' global passenger car tire production.

Dayton Factory Philosophy

Safety

Safety is not only the result of safe products. For us, it's vitally important to cultivate a safe working culture and environment for our people. By operating responsibly and sustainably, we foster a safe place for employees to complete their work and to speak up when they want to. We recognize and respect that it's our people who make our business run.

We Care
We believe happy people make premium quality tires. Our spirit of entrepreneurship, collaboration and inventiveness guides our work together. Since opening in 2019, Nokian Tyres has earned awards for the factory’s operations, culture and sustainability. The result? Career advancement for our team members and safety for North American tire buyers.

We care, drive innovation, and succeed together. Each day we are ready to rethink, retry and challenge ourselves to pioneer new technology and reinvent tires -- together. We are seeking local expert engineers and project managers to help drive our vision forward here in Tennessee.
Local Manufacturing

We believe that thriving domestic production offers a buffer against global uncertainty, which is why we have built factories in each of our major market areas: North America, Central Europe, and the Nordics.

Sustainability Pioneer

The Dayton Factory was designed at the forefront of sustainable innovation. It's one of the most sustainable production factories in the industry. It's the first tire production building in the world to earn LEED v4 Silver certification -- a testament to its low emissions and energy efficiency -- and its LEED v4 Gold-certified administration building is fully powered by energy generated from onsite solar panels.
