Nokian Tyres Summer Nights Concert Series Begins Friday

The fifth annual event takes place on the courthouse lawn every Friday night in June

DAYTON, Tenn. – Nokian Tyres and the Rhea Heritage Preservation Foundation are pleased to host Nokian Tyres Summer Nights on the Rhea County courthouse lawn each Friday night in June.

The fifth annual event features live music from local bands, food vendors, weekly giveaways from area organizations, and a drawing for a free set of tires on the last night of the festival.

The 2024 schedule kicks off with The Sullivan Band on June 7, followed by Rhea Springs Revival on June 14 and Ground Band on June 21. The series wraps up on June 28 with Wade Sims and a special appearance by the Rhea County United Way Celebrity Band.

Festivities start at 7 p.m. each Friday in June and end around 10 p.m. The event is presented by the Rhea Heritage Preservation Foundation, which exists to celebrate the history and culture of Rhea County through diverse programs, exhibits and preservation of resources.

Nokian Tyres sponsors the event as part of its commitment to serving the community where it operates an award-winning production factory. The company employs 500 team members at the Dayton Factory, where it is increasing production of all-season and all-weather tires this year and opening a finished goods warehouse on the factory campus.

Nokian Tyres opened the Dayton Factory in 2019. It won Company of the Year honors from the Chattanooga Regional Manufacturers Association in 2021, and it was the first Rhea County company to earn the prestigious Tennessee Governor’s Environmental Stewardship Award for its environmental efforts. Nokian Tyres recycles or reuses all production waste generated at the factory.
